INTRODUCING HOT IN PINK: THE HOT & WILD NEW POP DUO
VANCOUVER, B.C. (March 21, 2023) – Hot In Pink, the dynamic new pop duo, is set to take the music world by storm with their unique sound and infectious energy. Comprised of two talented musicians, Hot In Pink brings together the sultry vocals of lead singer Mel JS and the dynamic beats of producer Omnipresence (who’s opened for acts like legendary British House & Techno DJ/Producer Carl Cox). Hot In Pink is excited to share their music with the world and can’t wait for fans to hear their debut single, now available on all major music platforms.
“All You Bitches” is the perfect introduction to Hot In Pink’s sound, an EDM- and Hip-Hop-infused pop song that will get listeners up and dancing. The track is an empowering anthem that encourages listeners to stand up for themselves and not let anyone bring them down. “This is a diary entry and a message to all those who wanted us down,” says the duo. But more than that, “We want to inspire people with our lyrics, touch their hearts and show them that anything is possible if you put your heart into it.”
A truly global group, Hot In Pink are constantly on the go across the world, performing at various stages worldwide. While they are mainly based out of Istanbul, Turkey for now, as the pair explains, “Most of the time, we’re not in one country.”
“All You Bitches” is set to drop on March 21st and will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify HERE. Fans can follow Hot In Pink on social media for updates and behind-the-scenes content.
Hear more about… Hot In Pink:
Born and raised in Istanbul, Mel has impressed people with her talents since she was 4, when she started to dance, sing and act. Her range of expression has always been diverse, from ballet and singing to piano and poetry; at the age of 9, she wrote, directed, and starred in her first musical. Later on, she received advanced vocal training with MTV Award Nominee Glenn Perry.
Omnipresence was born and raised on a farm in the middle of the bush in South Africa. Always drawn to music, his wild upbringing was a perfect match for the chaotic energy of DJing. After one of his early sets, headliner DJ Costa was so impressed he gave him a shot at performing at Bump, one of South Africa’s biggest underground clubs. This eventually led to opening for legendary British DJ Carl Cox at Mother Rave, at the age of 17.
It was while they were studying music in London (Mel at the London Trinity College of Music and Omnipresence at the Point Blank Music School) that the artists met and began collaborating. Their first project, EDM outfit Live Sound Device, resulted in their first single, “Cold Spirit,” with a slew of others following shortly after. Over time, however, the duo realized they wanted to break free from the constraints of the genre. Wanting to include elements of Pop, Funk, Disco, and Rock, the pair decided to form their current project: Hot In Pink.
