Sultry alt dark pop duo Lovecolor (ft producer songwriter Vanessa Silberman and musician actor Ryan Carnes) release their second single ‘Pure Love’

Following LOVECOLOR’s first single, ‘Dangerous’, ‘Pure Love’ is the song to take you into summer —packed with dark, mysterious, sensual vocals; haunting synths and beats; as well as huge rock hooks that lure the listener with lyrics conjuring compassion and love.

When producer/songwriter Vanessa Silberman and musician/actor Ryan Carnes first started playing together, they knew they shared a special connection to loud rock music. However, as they got to know one another, it became clear there was a mutual taste for many other genres, as well. Unbeknownst to them at the time, that shared taste would later form the foundation for their their creative bond that would give birth to LOVECOLOR — their musical lovechild — characterized by sultry, alt pop songs with dark synth layers, epic rock elements and velvety, seductive hooks.

Initially, the two met through a mutual friend at a 2015 entertainment industry holiday party in Los Angeles. Silberman, then a full-time touring solo artist and Record Producer, reached out last-minute to Carnes, a long-time actor and drummer, and asked him to fill in at a Los Angeles show. That night at the Silverlake Lounge would prove prophetic, as it lead to lead to Carnes assuming the role Silberman’s full-time drummer and collaborator. That collaboration finally — and naturally — evolved into a band in November 2022.

The duo’s latest single ‘Pure Love’ is Self-Produced, mixed by Andrew Dawson (Phantogram, Jay Z, Sleigh Bells, Fun), and is being released smack dab in the middle of their Western U.S. and West Coast tour ‘Pure Love’ not only showcases the range of the band’s sounds and inspiration, but also demonstrates the variety of influences they are able to infuse into a song — while still maintaining ever-desirable commercial sensibilities.

About LOVECOLOR:

Silberman is known for wearing many hats in the music industry. She runs her own record label and works as a Record Producer, as well as being an artist, in her own right. She was on the road as a solo act from 2015 to 2020, playing over 800 shows under her name. Previously, Silberman has also engineered for the likes of Tony Visconti, Kimbra and Jello Biafra, among others, and formerly worked as the in-house assistant engineer at Studio 606 (Foo Fighters Studio). She has also assisted for The Kills, Joan Jett, Blues Traveler, and James Williamson.

Carnes has amassed an extensive resume in TV and Film, including the smash-hit ABC series “Desperate Housewives,” Clint Eastwood’s LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA, “Dr. Who” & LA BODA DE VALENTINA (Valentina’s Wedding) – one of Mexico’s top-10 grossing films of all time. Currently, Carnes can be seen on Hulu in CUPID FOR CHRISTMAS, featured on People.com, as one of “The Best Christmas Movies to Stream on Hulu in 2022.”

LOVECOLOR put out their debut single ‘Dangerous’ in Feb. 2023 (accompanied by a stylized, Blade Runner-inspired music video) and did an East Coast tour with Tea Eater (members of Gustaf & Sharkmuffin).
