A sleek first single that nods to the 80s while keeping its gaze forward.

February 16, 2026 (Cumberland House, SK) // Ger Carriere has released her latest single, “Touch Me,” kicking off the first chapter of her next EP, due out later in 2026. Dropping on Valentine’s Day, it draws from the ’80s without losing its modern edge.

Carriere has clearly absorbed one of the most important lessons from her idol Prince: that tension is power. This is not a song that seeks to build to a peak, rather it teases it. It is economical in its use of instruments, using each sound deliberately and making its use of space feel like a choice. It is flirting with 80s nostalgia without ever feeling like it is in costume, using that decade’s snap and sheen but keeping it feeling futuristic.
