January 23, 2026 (Toronto, ON) // Astrid Young has released her latest single, “The Beautiful Can Get Away with Murder,” featuring David J (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets), the first taste of her forthcoming LP produced by legendary engineer and producer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, The Kinks, John Mellencamp).
Rooted in Americana with a restrained country pull, “The Beautiful Can Get Away With Murder” explores how privilege and charisma distort accountability. Rather than moralizing, Young presents the story as lived understanding rather than outrage, with the battle-weariness of someone who has seen this cycle recur enough times to stop expecting anything else. It’s a narrative where all the evidence exists, the consequences don’t, and that cruel imbalance is understood rather than lamented.
