Women in the Studio National Accelerator 2025 Open for Submissions
Music Publishers Canada (MPC) has announced that it is now accepting applications for its 2025 Women in the Studio National Accelerator.

Music Publishers Canada (MPC) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Women in the Studio National Accelerator.
Celebrating its seventh year and boasting over 40 talented alumni, the Accelerator is designed to provide the cohort with skills development and networking opportunities that may otherwise be inaccessible to them.
The program will focus on topics including technical and songwriting skills, branding, and financial literacy and will offer opportunities for creative collaborations.
The Accelerator will run from June to October 2025, and the sessions and workshops will take place virtually and in person. The week-long in-person residency program will take place in Toronto between Friday, July 25th to Thursday, July 31st, 2025 (*exact dates TBD). If you are not available during this period please indicate why, for the jury to take into consideration.
Please note: This program is intended for producers who are already producing for others and have mid- to high-level proficiency in a DAW (digital audio workstation) such as Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, or similar programs.
To qualify, candidates must be:
- A mid- to high-level working producer-songwriter with experience producing for others (indicate proficiency in at least one DAW)
- Able to provide a streamable link to three examples of works they have produced, noting if they are also credited as a co-writer and/or artist (you must have co-written on two of the songs submitted).
- A Canadian resident (must be able to provide proof of residency).
- Identify as a woman, gender fluid, non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming person.
- Available to be in Toronto in person between Friday, July 25th to Thursday, July 31st, 2025 (exact dates TBD).
Applications will be accepted online until Friday, February 21st, 202,5, at 5 pm EST, and can be submitted either by the candidate directly or on behalf of a candidate if you represent them (e.g. manager, publisher, or other team member) and have confirmed that the candidate is interested and able to participate in all aspects of the program.
Applications are reviewed by an external jury, and selected candidates will be invited to proceed to an interview. We encourage applications from individuals who have historically been underrepresented in these spaces and who remain so today.
Application deadline: Friday, February 21, 2025, 5 pm EST
The Women in the Studio National Accelerator 2025 is supported by RBC, FACTOR, and the Government of Canada, and Ontario Creates. MPC would also like to thank Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP and Compass Rose Group.
